What is a TikTok photo or slideshow post?

Besides videos, TikTok has posts made of several photos that play one after another, often called a slideshow, photo mode post, or carousel. One post can hold many photos and usually comes with a song. In the app it looks like a video, but it's really a set of separate images.

That's why saving photos from a slideshow works differently from downloading a video. Unduhin saves each photo as its own file, plus the sound, so you don't have to screen record and you don't end up with blurry frames. Photos are saved at the resolution TikTok has for that post, not the smaller version shown on screen. In our testing, one slideshow photo saved at 1882 × 3344 pixels. The final resolution still depends on the photo the creator uploaded.

Why a slideshow downloads as photos, not a video

Slideshow posts play like videos, so many people expect a video file. Unduhin saves a slideshow as separate photos plus one sound file instead. That's sharper than a screen recording, and each photo can be used on its own.

If you paste a slideshow link into the TikTok Video Downloader, Unduhin still recognizes it and shows the photos. Save the photos, then use the Audio button to save the song.

Save TikTok photos to your iPhone's Photos app

On iPhone, tap Prepare all photos and wait until it finishes. The button then changes to Save … photos to Photos. Tap it, choose Save Images in the share menu, and every photo goes straight into the Photos app.

If you choose ZIP instead, the file saves to the Files app; tap the ZIP file to open it.

Save TikTok photos on Android

On Android, the Download all photos button saves each photo to the Download folder, and they usually appear in your Gallery right away. The first time, Chrome may ask whether this site can download multiple files; choose Allow.

Download TikTok slideshow photos on PC or laptop

On a computer, all the photos download as one ZIP file to your download folder. Right-click the ZIP file and choose Extract All on Windows, or double-click it on a Mac, to open the photos.

Download the song from a TikTok slideshow

Slideshow posts usually use a song or sound. Press the Audio button in the result to save it. Slideshow sounds are usually M4A files, which play on phones and computers. For regular videos, use the TikTok MP3 Downloader.

What can't be downloaded

• TikTok profile pictures. Unduhin works with posts, not account pages, so profile pictures can't be downloaded.
• Drafts. Drafts only exist in the creator's own account and have no public link, so they can't be processed.
• Posts from private accounts, and posts that have been deleted.

Some photos failed to download?

On a slow connection, a photo or two can fail to load. Unduhin retries automatically and tells you how many photos were saved. Photos that still failed are marked; tap one to try it again.

On Android, if only one photo saved, check whether Chrome showed a prompt about downloading multiple files, then choose Allow. On iPhone, make sure you chose Save Images in the share menu.

Photos on TikTok often show personal moments. Save photos for personal use or when you have permission, and don't re-upload or share other people's photos without their consent.
